We are thrilled to share that ART Magazine has announced the upcoming exhibition, Scottish Impressions: The Path from Glasgow to Bougival, co-produced by The Cornelius Arts Foundation in collaboration with the Fleming Collection and Longhouse. This exhibition is not just about showcasing artworks; it's the beginning of a profound collaboration with Maison Berthe Morisot at Bougival, France, which will extend far beyond the gallery walls.
The exhibition will explore the unique connection between Berthe Morisot and the influence she and her fellow Impressionists had on the Boys & Girls of Glasgow—a bold and rebellious group of young Scottish painters who ventured to France in the 1880s. But this partnership goes further, incorporating an extensive engagement program and cutting-edge research on the well-being of visitors. Through this innovative approach, we aim to foster cultural connections, deepen our understanding of art’s impact on health, and continue the legacy of artistic exchange between France and Scotland.
Stay tuned as we unveil more about this exciting partnership and the meaningful ways in which we are bridging art, nature, and well-being.
